Please excuse the poor photography!  These were taken a couple years ago when I first got my camera, so they are not the best.  I like to use reproduction prints for the chinas as fabric this old is hard to come by (though I do have a small supply).  These calicos are exact reproductions of prints from the time of the Civil War and are just wonderful.  This particular dress opens in front (called a wrapper) and was a dress worn around the home.  It is entirely hand-sewn; the bodice is lined.  The back of the dress has a slight train.
