What an adorable dress! This dress is all entirely handsewn with French seams throughout. The fabric is antique cotton in a pale shade of blue with tiny pale peach flowers. The bodice is decorated with lots of lace and lace trim. This same trim and lace adorns the hem of the dress as well. The dress closes in back with two tiny antique mother of pearl buttons. This cotton fabric is quite sheer, so I decided to attach a petticoat to the inside of the dress. This shows the fabric off nicely and holds the dress out nice and full. And then of course I needed to make some matching pantelettes! The undies are made from antique cotton with antique lace and lovely old embroidery. The pantelettes close in back with a tiny mother of pearl button. The doll modeling is 6.5 inches tall. The dress measures 4 inches from neckline to hem, 2 inches from shoulder to shoulder, and a 4.5 inch waist. A lovely dress and undies made from all antique fabrics, in a very hard to find size!
